Use parts of their body to conduct non-standard measurement (palms, hand span, foot span).
Use objects to conduct non-standard measurement (little stones, blocks, sand, toy cars, paper clips, etc.).
Estimate and measure the mass and length of objects using non-standard measurement.
Apply the correct non-standard measurement to measure various items (e.g., you would not use a hand span to measure capacity).
